Each child at the nursery is assigned a key worker - a member of staff who is responsible for their care, development and wellbeing.
By building a relationship with you, your child's key worker will learn about all of the things that make your child unique.
They'll keep you updated about your child's progress by meeting with you twice during the academic year, and uploading observations and photos of your child’s time with us through their online learning journal.
Our experienced staff receive in-house Montessori training throughout the year to ensure that we always keep the Montessori ethos at the forefront of our practice. Alongside this, they receive regular first aid and safeguarding training and are encouraged to attend other early years conferences, workshops, and training to further their professional expertise.
Laura, Nursery Manager
The Nursery's founder and Manager, Laura is a qualified Montessori teacher with Early Years Professional Status, SENCO leader, and a trained ELKLAN [speech and language support] practitioner. Laura is a Designated Safeguarding Lead.
Helen, Deputy Nursery Manager
Helen joined the team in 2001. She is a qualified teacher and also holds Level 6 Certification in Early Years. Helen holds a Level 2 Certificate in Children’s Mental Health and is a Designated Safeguarding Lead for the nursery.
Gemma
Gemma joined us in 2016. She has a Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education and a Level 4 SENCO.
Jo
Jo joined the team in 2019. She has a Diploma in Early Childhood Studies Level 3
Lisa
Lisa joined us in 2004. She has a qualification in Childhood Studies.
Charlie
Charlie re-joined our staff team in 2022. She has an NVQ3 in childcare.
Creusa
Creusa joined us in 2011. She qualified as an Early Years teacher in Brazil.
